J. Balvin Brings Lemonade to the World Cup
J. Balvin has his sporting priorities straight. The Colombian superstar could have easily made his way to the NBA Finals, but instead, Balvin headed to Mexico to be part of the kickoff energy for the 2026 World Cup.
Lemonade Was a Popular Drink, and It Still Is
Balvin performed at the World Cup kickoff event at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City for Thursday’s Mexico vs. South Africa match, marking the start of the tournament. He also used the moment to preview a new pair from his Jordan Brand lineup.
Posting a photo of his feet on the grass at Estadio Azteca, Balvin revealed a heel-side look at his latest Air Jordan 4 collaboration: the “Lemonade” colorway, dressed in a yellow reptile-print finish.
The colorway was first rumored late last year, but this is the first real look at the shoe. Even with only a heel view, the pair already shows its direction clearly: a monochrome yellow upper, alligator-style texture, and Balvin’s upside-down lightning-eye smiley face logo stamped on the heel. The midsole continues the yellow treatment, keeping the full Lemonade theme intact.
J. Balvin x Air Jordan 4 Retro Lemonade Release Details
The J. Balvin x Air Jordan 4 Retro “Lemonade” is expected to release in Fall 2026 through J. Balvin’s online store, Nike SNKRS, and select retailers in-store and online.
The pair is expected to be available in unisex sizing, with a reported retail price of $225 USD.
For Stashed, this is exactly the kind of artist-led Jordan release worth watching. Balvin has built his own lane with Jordan Brand through color, emotion, and global energy — and previewing the pair during the World Cup kickoff only makes the moment feel bigger.
